Pasture and Profit, Wye Valley
About the programme
Continuing the momentum of the last two and a half years, Pasture for Life is delighted to have been awarded Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) funding from the Wye Valley National Landscape to continue to run a free and innovative, mentoring, consultancy and events programme until March 2026 for farmers based in this area.
With funding secured until the end of March 2026, Pasture for Life is delighted to be able to continue to support farmers Wye Valley National Landscape, who may be considering or are already, changing how they manage their ruminant livestock enterprises.
The programme comprises of three main elements:
- A series of on-farm events and webinars, covering a wide range of topics. The events are based on feedback and shaped by farmers . Alongside the events, everyone can also access additional support through a suite of educational resources covering a wide range of topics. These are located in an easily accessible online resource hub.
- Should you wish to, everyone has the opportunity to undertake mentoring that is flexible and tailored to suit you. On hand are a team of friendly, trained, experienced farmer mentors, who can visit your farm and provide ongoing follow up support as you explore / implement new ways of managing your livestock enterprise(s).
- If you would prefer targeted advice and to receive a fully written up report and plan for your specific issue, then we also have the fully funded opportunity for project participants to work with a Pasture for Life consultant.
It's important to highlight that farmers don’t have to receive mentoring or consultancy to be involved. We encourage all farmers in the area to register below to receive invites to and be able to attend the events and access the wider range of learning opportunities on offer.
By getting involved there is no expectation that you transition to 100% pasture fed and/or certify with Pasture for Life. Pasture for Life wants to support you at whatever stage in your farming journey you are at and irrespective of your long-term plans. Whether you are in the process of making changes to your grazing system or you just want to learn more before implementing change, we invite you to register for updates .
