Good Small Farms Ltd
We are developing our 100-acre farm in the Cotswolds into a regenerative, ecologically sound farm that adds to the social capital and resilience of our local community.
Our aim is for Hammonds Farm to be a leading example of how farming that is sensitive to nature can produce delicious food, create employment and connection with community and be profitable. We hope that our success will encourage other farming entrepreneurs to develop regenerative farms at scale.
We have a mixed herd of mainly Herefords, with some Beef Shorthorn crosses and some traditional Sussex too. Our cows are bred with a pedigree Hereford bull. We have roughly 70 acres of pasture with some fields planted up with tree crops, creating alleys in which we graze our cattle. We mob graze our herd, moving them sometimes multiple times a day. This method of grazing aims to improve the fertility of the land, the life above and below ground and increase the carbon content of the soil.
We are now selling Pasture for Life, regeneratively grazed beef boxes, please see our website for further information.
