Emma Douglas, Wales Facilitator

I farm with my family on the beautiful Gower Peninsula, south Wales. We keep pedigree Welsh Black and Dexter cattle which we use to manage our traditional hay meadows and nature rich land. I am passionate about conservation grazing and the role that cattle play in the ecosystem and enjoy seeing the benefits of our cattle grazing on the habitats that we help to conserve and restore. Producing local, nutritionally dense food is another passion of mine, we finish our cattle on a 100% pasture fed system and sell our beef locally.

I love my role as one of Pasture for Life’s Regional Facilitators for Wales, as I get to meet many fascinating people and visit their farms where they are doing such ground breaking work. It fills me with joy to be part of a movement that is so committed to making positive change while preserving traditional values in agriculture.
