Groundswell Grass-fed and No-till Show and Conference 28-29 June 2017

After the success of the first Groundswell one-day event in 2016, the organisers are teaming up with Pasture for Life this year, to include an additional full day talking just about pasture farming!

The Groundswell No-till Show and Conference is a ground-breaking initiative put together by Pasture Fed Livestock Association members Paul, John and Alex Cherry at Lannock Manor Farm (Junction 9 of the A1(M)) in Hertfordshire. Wednesday 28 June is the Grass-fed day and Thursday 29 June is the No-till day.

Groundswell is a farming conference, designed ‘by farmers for farmers/to educate and inform the industry about no-till techniques and soil regeneration in arable and mixed farming situations.

There are several high level speakers from across the world including Australian soil ecologist Dr Christine Jones.

On the grass-fed day there will be demonstrations on grazing techniques, including the opportunity to see a Beef Shorthorn herd mob grazing permanent pasture. Pasture for Life member and Nuffield Scholar Tom Chapman will also be talking about how he is improving his arable soils using cattle. Find the full details on the website here.

Pasture for Life members can claim a 10% discount on tickets to Groundswell by emailing Laura at membership@pfla.org.uk, who will send a unique voucher code to use when booking tickets on the online booking site, which can be found here.
